So I'm a late adopter to the Pinot Grigio grape. It's not a stranger to me, I just never craved it; maybe I hadn't had the right one at the right time, not sure. In any event, I tried (again) this bottle recently, and it was like a revelation. For whatever reason, the light bulb went on, and now I'm hooked. I'm trying lots of other Pinot Grigios with renewed interest, and while I like many of the other bottlings that I've been trying, the Andriano is still special. The flavor profile is still classic PG, but with more of an emphasis on the lemon citrus, a touch more acidity, but again, like the St. Laurent in my other recommendation here, the magic shows through on the texture of the wine on my palate: so smooth, creamy, bright, delicious and balanced all the way across the palate, the wine is just striking and beautiful. I just can't recommend it highly enough. - Andy Hall, May 2020
