In 2002, the Rasteau winegrower's syndicate requested that Rasteau should become its own appellation. This was finally approved byin 2010, effective from the 2009 vintage. This wine shows a rustic and lively character, bursting with juicy blueberry and black raspberry fruit, balanced by a solid structure of acidity with firm tannins and a mineral streak found in the vineyards soil.
