Many wine drinkers are aware that the Rhone River Valley is home to great red wine ranging from everyday quaffers to dazzling trophies. Few are aware of the unique and satisfying whites from the same area. This bottling is a combination of grapes native to the area, resulting inboth a tasty and very versatile wine. The fruit flavors suggest pears, apples, and peach pits. The body is a bit fuller than Sauvignon Blanc, while avoiding the overripe richness of some California Chardonnays. Overall it hits the mark in a lot of ways, and would be perfect on itsown or with a variety of savory dishes. -Roger Clark
