Roger Clark Staff Selection • Spring 2016

Denis Dubourdieu hasdone extensive researchinto the making ofBordeaux wines and isparticularly noted for hiswork with dry white wines. At Chateau Reynon, he isboth owner and winemaker and is able toput that knowledge into practice. Thebeauty of this is its ability to walk the fineline between bright citrus and mineralnotes along with a silkier, elegantmouthfeel. I find this style of wine to besatisfying not only for the range of flavors, but also for the feeling that the wine knowsexactly what to say and has absolutely noneed to shout. Also, before you ask - thiswine is not old. Like many white Bordeaux, this is perfectly inside its ideal drinkingwindow. A charming wine on its own, thiswould also be good with a variety ofseafood dishes.

"Steely and pure, with mouthwatering honeysuckle, chamomile and quinine notes that ripple from the start, backed by a long yellow apple accent that sails on brightly. Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2016. 90 pts." -Wine Spectator
